The Curt Kriedeman Foundation scholarship is an annual $7,500 scholarship awarded to students seeking the Certified Flight Instructor rating. The goal of the scholarship is to emphasize excellence in the cockpit. Highly qualified candidates are those who possess qualities such as practical airmanship, aeronautical knowledge, technical abilities, and passion for aviation!

The Curt Kriedeman CFI Scholarship is awarded to one or more students enrolled within the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences. Recipients shall have satisfactory academic progress as defined by the UND aviation department and be on track to complete the CFI course within following three semesters. This scholarship seeks to identify those that will continuously try to be the best instructor they can be while encouraging students and other instructors around them to pursue excellence. The applicant must show a passion for aviation, be willing to invest time and effort instructing, and show a willingness to give back in whatever way possible.
